Cleaning your carpets does not have to be expensive. Read further to see how easily you can make your own carpet shampoo.
* Mix 500ml washing powder and 250ml benzene with two litters of boiling water. Be careful of spillage as it can easily boil over.
* Mix 250ml ammonia and 250ml blue spirit with 5l water.
* Mix 12.5ml ammonia household cleaner with 500ml water. Sponge off the carpet and rub dry.
* Mix 1 bottle of blue spirit with 1 bottle of benzene, a small box of washing powder and 4 litres of hot water. Apply with sponge or by machine and afterwards sponge off with vinegar.
* Dissolve 12.5ml dishwashing liquid in 40ml vinegar and 1 litre hot water.
* Dissolve 40ml hi-foam washing powder in warm water and shake well. Remove the foam and mix foam with 400ml white vinegar and 400ml luke warm water. Shake before use.
* Mix 12.5ml ammonia with 5ml Biotex and 500ml soda water. Apply with sponge and rub dry with clean cloth.
